INDUSTRIAL FLOORS

What is industrial flooring?

Industrial floors were originally built to meet the requirements of increased durability, mainly in industrial or heavy-duty industrial environments (industries, warehouses, factories, parking spaces, petrol stations, etc.)

In recent years, more and more individuals have been preferring to shape mainly outdoor spaces but even interiors with minimalistic aesthetics and decoration

APPLICATION

1. SUBSTRATE

The existence of a strong and sound substrate is essential, especially when the floor is expected to receive large loads.

If it does not exist, it is advisable to create a layer of crushed material and pebbles and then a final layer with compressed 3A

2.STRENGTHENING GRID

A T131 structural reinforcement mesh is used to reinforce the concrete

3.REINFORCED CONCRETE

C 20/25 concrete reinforced with polypropylene fibers for increased mechanical strength in

thickness 10 cm

4.SURFACE PROCESSING

It is coated with premixed cements consisting of specially graded quartz aggregates in fresh concrete with a consumption of 4-5 kg/m2 followed by grinding with mechanical sanders

The result is a smooth hard and durable surface in various colors (usually gray)

Then, cuts are made every 25 m2 and filling with a suitable elastomeric material (usually polyurethane mastic)

It is important to use a suitable concrete grinder so that there is work-ability for grinding without a coagulation delay, which results in the use of the mechanical grinder to create unwanted dents on the floor surface.

Then to increase the chemical and mechanical properties of the floor can be coated with epoxy materials, which are described in a special section of our services.
